Last weekend, over 75 members and invited guests gathered at our Open House event for a chance to engage in searing debate over which of the assembled supercars were most worthy of attention and praise. And as contrasts go, this one was a doozy. One guest brought his DeLorean DMC-12, featuring original gull-wing doors, a fiberglass underbody, and structural brushed stainless steel panels:

(Conspicuously absent was the flux capacitor.)And in the other corner sat – not one, but two – Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadsters, the 617hp Anglo-German ultra supercar known for its speed, athleticism, comfort, and quiet ride:

This ultimate driving machine features 1950′s interior leather…

…and a hand-built, front-mounted supercharged V-8 engine, which ladels out endless torque to comfortably propel the pilot from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds:

Other guests brought a wide assortment of classic Ferraris….

…Dodge Vipers, Audi R8s, Porsches, and much more. And of course, the entire Vulcan Motor Club fleet was on display and available for rides.
Join us for our next Open House on Saturday, May 3rd from 9:30am until noon at the Vulcan Clubhouse.
