We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be appearing at the 2009 New York International Auto Show (April 10-19, 2009), where consumers will have a chance to learn more about the benefits of club membership and sign up for slots in the US Supercar Tour.

The Vulcan Motor Club booth is located in the Javits Center on Level 1, and Membership Directors will be available to answer questions throughout the show.

We’ll also be offering a chance to book a limited number of US Supercar Tour seats at a huge savings.

In 2006, Alex Roy and Dave Maher raced their 2000 BMW M5 from New York to the Santa Montica Pier in an incredible 31 hours, 4 minutes – shattering the previous world record by over one hour. Join us at the Vulcan Clubhouse in Chester, NJ on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 7:00-10:00pm as Alex and Dave open up the shiny veneer of the outlaw racing world, explore the ethical dilemmas, and attempt to answer the question: “Was high-stakes racing worth it?” You’ll also see scenes from the yet-to-be released documentary titled “32 hours 7 minutes.”

We’ll have the BMW used for this trip on display at the clubhouse – jammed with every conceivable technology.First 25 reservations will receive an autographed copy of Alex Roy’s Book: The Driver: My Dangerous Pursuit of Speed and Truth in the Outlaw Racing World. What’s the difference between a Ferrari and a Volvo? What’s the difference between a Rochefoucauld and a Timex? What’s the difference between a Monet and a paint-by-numbers? For some people, a car is just a car; a watch is just a watch; and a painting – irrespective of the artist – is just another canvas upon which seemingly dull acrylics have been poorly splashed. But for others, the difference between cars yields vast meaning. Performance, style, heritage – and emotion. For some people, a Timex just doesn’t yield the quality and panache worthy of gracing their wrist. And sometimes, though I give her credit, Georgia O’Keefe just can’t replace Dali’s Persistence of Time hanging in the foyer. Those who just can’t bring themselves to compromise on these things – often revered as necessities – have a deep appreciation for the finer things in life.

The owners and staff at Vulcan Motor Club are all too familiar with the finer things – and the lifestyles they accompany. That’s why they celebrated these things – these epicurean amenities – in an evening dedicated to those who indulge in life’s lavish pleasures. Occupying the luxurious Trump National Golf Club, Vulcan invited a select 250 bon vivants to revel in the splendor of those things that aren’t so easily attained. The cars for instance…

Vulcan is a privately-owned, membership-based automotive club whose constituents are impassioned motorists. Not satisfied with what can be had at just any dealer, Vulcan’s members are in constant pursuit of evocative driving experiences. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley and so on. But not just one car; members experience all of them. Such is the kind of benefit associated with Vulcan Motor Club Membership.

They commandeered the most extravagant venue that suited their needs, decorated the lush rolling greens with their fleet of exotics, and partnered with Jacob the Jeweler and the David David Gallery of Philadelphia, to offer attendees a broad arrange of art on which their senses could feast. Not to leave out the sense of taste, the soiree was catered by the Trump National Golf Club. And lest they neglect auditory yearnings, the air was rich with the soulful decadence of live jazz.

The jewelry and paintings were a splendid compliment to the automotive bliss that was already in session. The five-star food filled the parts of us that weren’t already full of elation from being around such amazing cars. By the evening’s end, we were compelled to sign up for membership with the Vulcan Motor Club. And why not? More than anyone else, they understand our obsession with the finer things in life.

We’d like to personally invite you to a private reception at the Vulcan Motor Club. You’ll see several of the world’s most beautiful and exotic automobiles on Saturday, December 8th from 7:00pm-11:00pm at the Vulcan Motor Clubhouse in Chester, New Jersey.

In addition to all the phenomenal cars in the Vulcan Motor Club collection on display at the Grand Opening Event (including the Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari 360 Spider, Aston Martin DB9, Porsche 911 Twin Turbo, and Dodge Viper RT/10), you’ll also get an up-close and personal look at a rare Shelby Cobra 427 SC (serial #4925). This 565 horsepower beast was hand-built by Shelby craftsman, and autographed by Carroll Shelby.
