HOW DOES THIS COMPARE TO EXOTIC CAR RENTALS?
Club members enjoy rates equal to approximately half of exotic car rental agencies. The private nature of our club ensures that the fleet is meticulously driven by members who know other club members, and value the pleasure of driving pristine luxury and exotic vehicles.
WHAT OTHER MEMBERSHIP COSTS WILL I INCUR?
There are no incremental costs for usage. However, club members are responsible for fuel they use, tolls, tickets, and any incidental damage.
HOW IMPORTANT IS MY DRIVING RECORD?
When you become a candidate for membership, your driving record is reviewed. We understand that minor driving incidents occur, and each candidate's driving record is reviewed on an individual basis. Normally, a small number of tickets and/or claims will not disqualify you from membership.
CAN ANYONE USE MY CLUB MEMBERSHIP?
Your membership may be shared with one other individual - such as a spouse or co-member - at no additional cost. The additional member must be approved in advance, and all club policies apply.
ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
Prospective members must be between the ages of 27 and 67.
ARE THE VEHICLES INSURED?
The club insures vehicles against damage and loss. However, each member is required to maintain a personal auto policy with state minimums as a condition for membership. (Insurance laws in New Jersey require that insurance follows the driver,) Your personal insurance policy is primary in the event of an incident. We will verify adequate insurance with your carrier as a condition to membership, and members do not typically require any additional insurance coverage to join the club.
DO YOU OFFER DELIVERY?
We offer delivery within a 120 mile radius of the clubhouse. Some membership packages include complimentary delivery and pickup within a 60 mile radius of the clubhouse; extended delivery is available for a nominal charge.
HOW FAR AWAY CAN I DRIVE THE VEHICLES?
Vehicles may be driven within a 300 mile radius of the clubhouse.This is in part to insure that we can respond as quickly as possible in the event of a mechanical problem.
HOW MANY MILES MAY I DRIVE?
Each membership plan provides an annual allocation of miles, averaging 100 miles per day. You may purchase additional miles at a nominal rate, should you run out.
WHO OWNS THE VEHICLES?
All vehicles in the fleet are owned by Vulcan. Vehicles are not rented to the general public, nor do we allow rental operators to use our private collection. The typical car has mileage of approximately 2,000, and the average vehicle age is 2 years.
HOW WILL I KNOW THAT THE CLUB IS NOT OVERSUBSCRIBED?
The club maintains conservative car to member ratios, and adds cars as necessary. More importantly, the club is structured with a nominal application fee. We recognize that your interest in renewing your membership declines if the car you want is never available, or if the condition of the fleet were to deteriorate.
HOW DOES VULCAN COMPARE TO OTHER CAR CLUBS?
We have visited some of the other fine car clubs across the continent; some specialize in classic cars; other clubs have large fleets that don't shine as brightly as they once did. We welcome you to take a private tour of the Vulcan clubhouse and fleet and judge the difference in person.
